We partied our pants off (not really – its’ not that kind of place) in celebration of our first birthday on Aug. 19. We hope you were there, but if not, you missed a giant parking lot party, complete with adult big wheel races, BBQ, live music and beer (duh!). The day wouldn’t have been complete – or possible (thanks, volunteers!) – without a little giving back, so we were proud to partner with our friends at Phoenix 999 to dedicate a portion of the events’s proceeds to people suffering from PTSD.

More than 1,000 people waltzed (or big wheeled) through the party throughout the day, which began at 11 a.m. with our first-ever bomber release – of the 2017 Anniversary Ale – a Belgian Dark Strong Ale with peaches. You guys really showed up for us, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the lines out the door. Next year we’ll be sure to buy more coffee and doughnuts for you go-getters who lined up early.

Following the release, we moved outside for a parking lot party, which was full-out rocking by mid-day and didn’t stop until early evening. You big wheeled and life-sized corn-holed your beer-loving booties off to live music from Brent Loveday of Reno Divorce, Tyler Hill and Tyler Stanfield of LOST POINT, Me Me Monster and KD & the Damn Kids. Then, you party people took it inside to the brewery and outdoor patio for the early evening hours, rocking out to Boulder-based bluegrass band Timber, and nearly drank us dry.

And while our party wrapped up on Aug. 19, we celebrated all week leading up to the main event – and through the weekend – with exclusive small batch tappings of everything form a Lemongrass Lavender Saison to a Belgian Golden Strong and Vanilla Chai Brown, which made an appearance due to popular demand.

So, cheers to you, RESOLUTE community. Your continued support and friendship keeps us going, and we’re excited for another great year ahead.

We’d love to see your photos from the day – please share them with us using #BeRESOLUTE on Instagram. And now, we have a second anniversary party to begin planning. Does anyone know where to rent a dunk tank?
